Frequently asked questions
Everything customers ask us before signing up — organised by topic.
General
Anserve is an AI Answer Platform that connects your organisation's knowledge base to the channels where people ask questions — web chat and Slack today, with voice, Microsoft Teams and WhatsApp on the roadmap — and escalates to a human via the Anserve Console when the AI isn't confident.
It reduces repetitive questions, speeds up answers, and keeps responses consistent — for both customers (website chat) and employees (Slack).
Anserve uses RAG retrieval from your own documents and indexes content into a dedicated vector database per organisation, which makes answers more reliable than scripted flows or keyword FAQ matching.
No. Anserve answers first and escalates to a human when needed — with full conversation context, so your team can resolve issues faster without starting from scratch.
The website chat widget is live in minutes — one line of JavaScript on your site. Connecting a knowledge source like Confluence or Google Drive takes 2 to 5 minutes via OAuth or API key. After that, Anserve synchronises automatically and keeps your knowledge up to date.
Yes. Start with a limited set of sources (e.g. top FAQs and procedures), launch on your website, and expand to Slack and additional integrations over time.
Anserve detects the visitor's language automatically, or you can set it explicitly. It answers in that language regardless of what language your knowledge is in — one language or several, it doesn't need to match.
Yes. You can already connect your product documentation and FAQ as knowledge sources so Anserve answers product questions 24/7. Shopify, WooCommerce and Lightspeed connectors are coming soon — allowing Anserve to also retrieve live order status and perform actions like booking a table or placing an order.
Not yet, but it's on the roadmap. Anserve is designed so the VoIP voice agent uses the same knowledge base and escalation flow as web chat and Slack — no rebuild required when it launches.
Integrations & Knowledge
22+ sources including Confluence, Freshdesk, Notion, Zendesk, HubSpot, Google Drive, SharePoint, OneDrive, phpMyFAQ, WordPress and a web crawler for any public URL. E-commerce connectors for Shopify, WooCommerce and Lightspeed are coming soon. You can also upload documents manually (PDF, Word, plain text). See the full list on Integrations.
Not yet. Microsoft Teams isn't available in any form today. A full Teams bot — for two-way escalation and an internal knowledge Q&A channel like our Slack integration — is on the roadmap, though not immediate.
Yes — start with the most trusted source (FAQ/procedures) and expand later.
That depends on your knowledge source and preference. Many teams begin manual and move to scheduled updates.
Yes. Many organisations start with a Slack knowledge agent for employees and expand to website chat later.
Yes. Use the website widget to answer common questions 24/7 and escalate complex issues to humans.
Pricing & Trial
Yes — 30 days free on Starter, Pro or Business. You choose the plan you want to trial, and the trial runs on that plan's own functionality: a Starter trial doesn't unlock Pro features, and a Pro trial doesn't unlock Business features. A payment method may be required to start. Unless you cancel or change plans before day 30, your trial converts automatically into a paid subscription on the plan you selected. See Pricing.
If you move to a plan with fewer capabilities, sources outside your new plan become unavailable for selection or syncing, and their previously-synced content is removed from the knowledge database — for example, a Business-only knowledge source stops syncing and its content is removed if you drop to Pro. The connector configuration itself is typically kept for a limited period, so upgrading again reconnects and re-syncs it without needing to set it up from scratch.
No — Enterprise evaluation is handled separately and may be implementation-assisted, scoped to the Channels, Knowledge Sources and Actions you need. See below for what each of these means.
Three parts of how Anserve is scoped, especially for Enterprise. Channels are where people ask questions — web chat and Slack today, with voice, Teams and WhatsApp on the roadmap. Knowledge Sources are what Anserve knows — the documents, wikis and helpdesk systems you connect (see Integrations). Actions go a step further: instead of just answering, Anserve triggers a task in a connected system on your behalf — checking an order, booking a slot, updating a ticket (see Features). Actions are still in development and planned for Enterprise.
Both are available. Annual billing may include a commercial discount — contact the team for details.
Full white-label / reseller availability is Enterprise-only. Basic widget branding (colour, logo, position, welcome message) is available from Starter, and removing Anserve's own branding is available from Business. Contact us for white-label and reseller pricing.
Starter includes human escalation via the Anserve Console. Slack escalation and the internal Slack Q&A bot are included from Pro and up. See Pricing for the full tier breakdown.
Yes. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and we don't offer refunds for partial months except where required by law.
Security & Data
Yes. Anserve is a European platform, developed and hosted in the EU. You can choose where your vector database is hosted (EU/Europe or US) depending on your compliance and data residency requirements. See Security.
No. Each organisation has a dedicated vector database (isolated index/namespace). Content is not shared across customers.
No. Anserve does not use your data to train public AI models. Your content is used only for retrieval and answering within your tenant.
Yes. eValue8 BV, the company that operates Anserve, is ISO 27001 certified for information security management.
We target 99.5% monthly uptime for the chat widget and dashboard, with planned maintenance communicated in advance where possible. Enterprise customers receive a formal SLA with guaranteed support response times. See Terms.
We delete your knowledge base content within 30 days of account termination. You can request a full data export before cancelling.
Comparisons
AI knowledge agents such as Droxy.ai, Chatbase, DocsBot and CustomGPT are mostly website-chat tools trained on your content. Anserve adds Slack knowledge answering and a dedicated vector database per organisation on top of website chat, from one knowledge base. See the full comparison with AI knowledge agents.
Internal knowledge AI tools such as Glean, Guru AI, Danswer and Notion AI focus on employee search inside your company, with little or no customer-facing chat. Anserve combines internal Slack knowledge answering with a public website chat widget, so the same knowledge base serves both employees and customers. See the full comparison with internal knowledge AI.
AI voice agent platforms such as Bland.ai, Retell and Vapi handle phone calls but not website chat or Slack. Anserve is live today on web chat and Slack, with voice/VoIP on the roadmap using the same knowledge base and escalation flow. See the full comparison with AI voice agents.
AI support automation platforms such as Ada, Forethought and Certainly are built for large customer-support teams and enterprise ticketing workflows. Anserve is priced and scoped for growing teams, combining website chat, Slack knowledge answering and human escalation from one knowledge base. See the full comparison with AI support automation.
Dedicated, product-by-product comparisons are available for Glean, ClearFeed, SiteGPT, Bland AI, Intercom and Zendesk, plus a roundup of AI knowledge chatbots. See the full comparison hub.
